ABOUT CHASE

UNCC Grad 2005 Major Psychology
UNC Grad 2010 Master's in Counseling

A native of Charlotte NC, I first became interested in psychology while in undergrad. After graduating in 2005 I worked in a private hospital as a psych tech for several years before going for my Master's. My master's thesis was centered on Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. From there I worked in public mental health for nearly 10 years before shifting to private practice in 2018. I have worked with many people over the years and welcome the opportunity to work with adults from all walks of life. I have also performed hundreds of mental health assessments so I am a strong diagnostician and can help clients sort out their mental health and substance use illnesses.

FAMILY SESSIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS

For a client seeing me individually, having others join for a family session can help them better connect with their primary support group and hasten recovery. These sessions can include spouses/partners,  parents, adult children, extended family, and friends. I do not offer couples counseling at this time.

CONSULTATION

Don't have a mental health or substance use issue but would still like to meet with someone 1:1 to focus on your goals? Consultation can be used to focus your mind, achieve life goals, or just have a safe place to talk. I also consult with family members of those with addiction to get treatment options and to learn how to support their loved one more effectively.
